Reliance Industries Ltd. ranks second globally in FutureBrand Index 2024, ahead of Apple

Reliance Industries Ltd, India's largest and most valuable company, has been ranked second globally in the FutureBrand Index for 2024, surpassing major global brands like Apple and Nike. The FutureBrand Index recognizes companies that evolve strategies to maintain purpose and customer experience, staying ahead of market changes. Reliance made a significant leap, moving up 11 places from its 2023 ranking of 13th. Samsung leads the list, and Reliance is the only Indian brand in the top ranks, ahead of other global giants such as Walt Disney, Netflix, and Microsoft.

The FutureBrand Index evaluates the top 100 global companies by market capitalization, focusing on their brand perception. It assesses 18 attributes related to purpose and experience to determine a brand’s potential for success. The index highlights how brands that balance strong purpose with excellent customer experience adapt to technological advancements and market dynamics. They remain true to their core identity and are poised for sustained growth. The 2024 report notes that brands from the Asia-Pacific (APAC) and the Middle East are investing heavily in branding, catching up with the traditional dominance of the United States and Europe.
