India records 358 billionaires, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, Mr. Mukesh Ambani, leads with Rs. 9,50,000 crore (US$ 107 billion) wealth

India’s wealth creation continues its rapid ascent, with a record 358 dollar-billionaires and 1,687 individuals worth over Rs. 1,000 crore (US$ 112.7 million), according to the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025. Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, Mr. Mukesh Ambani, leads with a family wealth of Rs. 9,50,000 crore (US$ 107 billion), followed by Chairman of the Adani Group, Mr. Gautam Adani, at Rs. 8,15,000 crore (US$ 91.8 billion). Chairperson of HCLTech, Ms. Roshni Nadar Malhotra, enters the top three as India’s richest woman with Rs. 2,84,000 crore (US$ 32 billion), while CEO and co-founder of Perplexity AI, Mr. Aravind Srinivas, 31, became the youngest billionaire at Rs. 21,190 crore (US$ 2.39 billion). 
The list highlights India’s emerging tech billionaires, self-made entrepreneurs, and real estate leaders, with 58 new billionaires added this year, averaging one per week. The combined wealth of India’s richest reached Rs. 1,67,00,000 crore (US$ 1.88 trillion), nearly half of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), with Mumbai leading the count at 451 listers. Notable gainers include Niraj Bajaj & family, whose fortune jumped 43%, and Indian actor, film producer, and television personality, Mr. Shah Rukh Khan, making his billionaire debut at Rs. 12,490 crore (US$ 1.41 billion).
