The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has partnered with Rukam Capital and Bootstrap Incubation & Advisory Foundation to accelerate the holistic development of India’s startup ecosystem. This collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to launch programmes and initiatives that support product startups, innovators, and entrepreneurs across the country. The initiative will provide crucial resources such as infrastructure, mentor networks, funding, market linkages, and an extensive knowledge repository while also assisting startups in achieving milestones like prototype development and international expansion.
Joint Secretary, DPIIT, Mr. Sanjiv, highlighted that this partnership will establish a stronger foundation for product startups in India. The programme will create an environment conducive to turning ideas into market-ready solutions by integrating industry expertise, capital, and strategic mentorship. He further emphasised that this collaboration is focused on growth and enabling startups to compete globally, fostering innovation, and contributing to India's economic transformation. Founder and Managing Partner of Rukam Capital, Mr. Archana Jahagirdar, added that this partnership is a significant step in fortifying India's startup ecosystem. Together, they aim to equip entrepreneurs with the tools, mentorship, and opportunities to scale their ideas, thus contributing to the nation’s economic progress and enhancing global competitiveness.
