TeamLease Digital's latest report highlights a 40% surge in fresher hiring for FY25, with salaries up to 30% above industry standards, driven by the rapid adoption of AI, machine learning (ML), cloud technologies, and the need for skill development. GCCs are expected to lead this growth, increasing fresher hiring by 40% compared to last year, while the IT services sector anticipates a 20-25% rise, focusing on software development, data engineering, and cloud technologies. Mid-level roles, such as project managers and data scientists, continue to see steady demand, with salaries rising by 7.89% to 10.2%. Senior management roles are experiencing a 21% increase in demand, especially for expertise in data engineering, product management, and DevOps, with salary hikes ranging from 6.54% to 10.8%.

The report also emphasizes the growing demand for AI, ML, and cloud infrastructure skills, with 69% of data science job postings in 2024 requiring machine learning expertise. By FY25, India will need over two million cloud professionals to support its cloud infrastructure growth. Upskilling is crucial for career advancement, particularly in cloud computing, data analytics, and cybersecurity. Regional salary disparities persist, with cities like Bangalore and Hyderabad offering higher compensation. At the same time, Tier-II towns like Kochi and Coimbatore gain traction as key hiring hubs due to growing talent pools.
