PM GatiShakti National Master Plan completes 3 years of transforming India's Infrastructure landscape

The PM GatiShakti National Master Plan, launched by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi on October 13, 2021, has completed three years of significant achievements in transforming India’s infrastructure landscape. Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Mr. Piyush Goyal highlighted that the initiative has revolutionized the planning and execution of infrastructure projects by integrating data from over 44 central ministries and 36 states and union territories. This integration has led to improved project execution, reduced logistics costs, and enhanced service delivery across the country. The platform has facilitated the assessment of more than 200 major infrastructure projects, focusing on multimodal connectivity and efficient resource allocation.

Additionally, the PM GatiShakti initiative has extended its impact to the social sector, identifying gaps in essential services like healthcare and education, and ensuring that underserved areas benefit from infrastructure development. Each of the 36 states and union territories has developed their own State Master Plans, aligning with the national framework to streamline capital investments. The initiative has also improved India’s logistics performance, as evidenced by a rise in its ranking in the World Bank's Logistics Performance Index. As the program evolves, it aims to enhance cross-sectoral cooperation and leverage emerging technologies, positioning itself as a cornerstone for India's Atmanirbhar Bharat vision and future infrastructure growth.
