Over 20 million Indians contributing to our society: Saudi Arabia's Deputy Minister of Media

In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Deputy Minister of Media Mr. Khalid bin Abdulqader Al-Ghamdi commended the significant contribution of the 20.6 million Indians residing in the Kingdom. This statement coincided with the launch of the 'Global Harmony' initiative by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Media, part of the "Quality of Life" Programme aimed at achieving Vision 2030 objectives. The Riyadh Season, which commenced on October 13, features events showcasing the cultures of 11 nations, including India, the Philippines, and Egypt, over a span of 45 days. The activities encompass concerts, cultural performances, entertainment events, traditional cuisines, and various handicraft exhibitions.

He underscored the importance of the Saudi-Indian relationship, highlighting the enhanced cooperation in economic and cultural spheres. He noted that the presence of 20.6 million Indians in Saudi Arabia reflects their valuable contribution to society. He referenced the previous visits of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi to Saudi Arabia in 2016 and 2019, illustrating the strength of the bilateral relationship. He affirmed that this initiative, organised by the Ministry of Media in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority, aims to demonstrate the harmonious coexistence of residents within Saudi society, further aligning with the long-term goals of both nations under Vision 2030.
