Over 19.88 lakh new workers were enrolled under the ESI Scheme in the month of July 2023

According to Employees State Insurance Corporation’s (ESIC's) provisional payroll figures, 19.88 lakh new employees were added in the month of July 2023.

In July 2023, around 27,870 new establishments were registered and added to the Employees' State Insurance Corporation's social security network, thereby increasing coverage.

Data clearly shows that more jobs have been created for the nation's youth as 9.54 lakh employees under the age of 25 make up the majority of new registrations, accounting for 47.9% of all employees, out of the total 19.88 lakh employees added during the month.

Payroll data analysis by gender reveals that in July 2023, the net enrolment of net female members was 3.82 lakh.

According to the data, 52 transgender employees signed up for the ESI Scheme in July 2023. This demonstrates the dedication of ESIC to making its advantages available to all sections of society.
