Online enrolment in AI courses sees a 50% growth on a YoY basis: Report

In the dynamic landscape of technology, the past year has witnessed a remarkable 50% surge in enrolments for online courses focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). This surge can be attributed to the increasing integration of AI technologies across diverse industry sectors, as highlighted in a comprehensive study by the renowned hiring platform Foundit. Noteworthy findings from the report reveal that individuals with expertise in AI, ML, and cybersecurity are presently commanding the most lucrative salaries among entry-level professionals in India, with average minimum and maximum salaries reaching Rs. 7.8 LPA (US$ 9,326) and Rs 10.3 LPA (US$ 12,315), respectively.

Furthermore, the job market has experienced a significant 12% rise in openings, specifically within the AI and ML domains, underscoring the escalating demand for skilled professionals possessing these competencies in the Indian employment landscape. This surge in course enrolments and job opportunities signifies a paradigm shift towards the prioritization of AI and ML skills, reflecting the evolving needs of the industry and the promising career prospects in these cutting-edge fields.
