Microsoft CEO Mr. Satya Nadella calls himself product of India-US bond

Microsoft CEO Mr. Satya Nadella stated that he is a product of the strong bond between India and the US, as American lawmakers and government officials recognised the contributions of the Indian community during the Republic Day celebrations. The Consulate General of India in Seattle hosted a special reception on January 25 to mark India's 76th Republic Day at the Bell Harbour Conference Centre, with over 500 members of the Indian American community in attendance. 

He expressed his gratitude for the leadership of both nations, highlighting their collaboration in leveraging technology to improve education, health, public service, and the competitiveness of small businesses. Washington State Governor Mr. Bob Ferguson acknowledged the invaluable contribution of the Indian community globally. He expressed his eagerness to strengthen the relationship between Washington State and the Consulate General of India. A State Senate Resolution, moved by State Senator Ms. Manka Dhingra and supported by Senator Ms. Vandana Slatter, was passed to celebrate the 76th Republic Day and the enduring friendship between India and the US. The event featured cultural exhibits, including 'One District, One Product,' showcasing unique cultural heritage items from India, and a photo exhibit, 'India through Tim's Eyes,' highlighting India's iconic tourism sites. In a special gesture, several Seattle landmarks were illuminated in the colours of the Indian tricolour. He met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to discuss Microsoft's AI expansion plans in India.
