India's growth rate among shiniest parts in world economy: World Bank President Mr. Ajay Banga

World Bank President Mr. Ajay Banga highlighted India's impressive growth rate, describing it as one of the most notable aspects of the global economy, largely fuelled by a robust domestic market. Speaking ahead of the upcoming annual meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, he emphasized that achieving growth rates of six to seven percent in the current global environment reflects significant progress and resilience. He pointed out the importance of focusing on quality-of-life issues, such as air and water quality, as outlined by the Prime Minister. The World Bank is actively collaborating with India on various initiatives to translate this growth into job creation and sustainable development, with a particular emphasis on increasing female workforce participation. Additionally, efforts are underway to enhance urban living conditions through improvements in air quality, water supply, and urban planning, indicating a comprehensive approach to fostering long-term economic and social benefits.
