India and Poland have agreed on a social security agreement, says Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi recently announced a social security agreement between India and Poland, emphasising the strengthening partnership in areas like new technology and clean energy. Speaking to the Indian community in Warsaw, he highlighted Kabaddi as a cultural connection, noting Poland's first-time hosting of the Kabaddi championship. He expressed optimism about the future of both nations, stating, "Innovation and youth are going to give energy to the development of both nations." He reiterated India's global vision, rooted in the philosophy of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam," or the world as one family, and underscored the importance of democracy, comparing India's electoral participation to Poland's.

Mr. Modi outlined significant achievements in India's development, including poverty reduction, digital financial inclusion, and advancements in infrastructure. He noted that 250 million people have risen from poverty in the past decade. He highlighted the rapid growth of broadband users and electric vehicle sales. The Prime Minister also discussed India's ambitious goals for becoming a developed nation by 2047 and a leader in green technology. He emphasized a balanced approach to economic growth and ecological sustainability, aiming for India to be a global hub for electric vehicles and green hydrogen. Indian Prime Minister also acknowledged the importance of empathy in Indian identity, recalling India's humanitarian efforts during crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic, and expressed gratitude to the Indian community in Poland for their support and welcomed the Polish government's openness to Indian students. This visit marks the first Indian Prime Minister to Poland in 45 years, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
