GAIL, Vital Asia sign long-term LNG deal to supply 1 MMT annually to India

GAIL (India) Limited and Vital Asia Pte Ltd have formalized a comprehensive agreement for the annual supply of approximately one million metric tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) over a decade, commencing in 2026, as per the company's filing on the exchanges last Friday. Vital Asia will procure LNG from its global portfolio within this collaboration, facilitating nationwide delivery to GAIL in India. GAIL's Chairman and Managing Director, Mr. Sandeep Kumar Gupta, remarked, This enduring LNG arrangement with Vital will enhance GAIL's substantial LNG portfolio, addressing India's natural gas demand and supply disparity.
