Bajaj Auto, India's largest exporter of two and three-wheelers, has inaugurated its inaugural manufacturing plant outside India in Manaus, Brazil, marking a significant milestone in its global expansion strategy. The new facility, located in Bairro Trauma and spanning 9,600 square meters, is equipped for engine and vehicle assembly, boasting an initial capacity of 20,000 units per year on a single shift, expandable to 50,000 units annually.

Executive Director of Bajaj Auto, Mr. Rakesh Sharma, emphasized the strategic importance of the Brazilian plant, stating it will enhance local production capabilities and support broader market access. Initially focusing on Dominar models, with plans to introduce Pulsar models later, the facility aims to strengthen Bajaj's presence in Latin America's thriving two-wheeler market. Positioned advantageously in Manaus for logistical efficiency and leveraging state fiscal incentives, the plant underscores Bajaj Auto's commitment to meeting regional demand and fostering sustained growth in the dynamic Latin American market.
