In May 2023, Blue Star Ltd aimed to achieve 15% market share in room air conditioners by 2025. It plans to tap into the north Indian market, including Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. A total of 75 models have been launched by the company across various categories of inverter and fixed-speed air conditioners, as well as across a variety of price points to satisfy every segment of consumers.
In March 2023, Blue Star secured orders worth US$ 69.74 million (Rs. 575 crore) for railway electrification work, marking its foray into the railway segment. The orders are from the Kolkata Metro Rail, West Central Railway, and Central Organisation for Railway Electrification (CORE).
Star Ltd. opened a new plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The factory's first phase has a capacity of 3 lakh room AC units, with the potential to scale up to 1.2 million units by the financial year 2027.
