Dixon Technologies was founded in 1993 by Mr. Sunil Vachani. It started with a single factory in Noida, India, focusing on manufacturing CRT televisions. Over the years, Dixon expanded its operations beyond CRT TVs to include various segments, Consumer electronics, Lighting, Home appliances, Mobile phones manufacturing mobile handsets. Dixon Technologies now boasts over 17 manufacturing units across India, from Noida to Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh. It serves clients globally and has become India’s largest electronics manufacturing services company.

Dixon started manufacturing security systems, including CCTVs and Digital Video Recorders (DVRs). Production took place at the company’s state-of-the-art facility in Tirupati, through a joint venture called AIL Dixon Technologies Private Limited.
Dixon strategically expanded by launching a Liquid Crystal Module (LCM) line at its Tirupati facility. This move aligned with the company’s backward integration strategy and resulted in India’s largest facility for LED TV panel manufacturing

Dixon amalgamated its wholly owned subsidiaries, Dixon Appliance Private Limited (DAPL) and Dixon Bhurji Mouldings Private Limited (DBMPL), with the parent company.
Dixon entered a joint venture called All Dixon Technologies Private Limited (ADTPL) with Aditya Infotech Limited. The purpose was to manufacture CCTVs and DVRs, expanding Dixon’s product portfolio.
Dixon received listing approvals from both BSE and NSE on 15th September 2017, with effective listing from 18th September, 2017
