India is now being viewed as amongst the world's media powerhouses, according to the MIPCOM audiovisual trade show held in Cannes.

India has recorded a 126 per cent jump in the amount spent on merger & acqusition deals outside the Asia-Pacific region.

India's industrial production registered a month-on-month growth of 10.7 per cent in August 2007, owing to improvement in manufacturing, power and mining sectors.
